The West Coast Swing, originally developed in California, has become the style of choice for advanced swing dancers all around the country. West Coast Swing can be danced to both slow and medium tempos, and it is characterized by a slot or linear structure. West Coast Swing is a great dance to develop connection between partners, musicality and body expression. West Coast Swing dancers can be mesmerizing to watch, they exude playfulness, sensuality and spontaneity.

The West Coast Swing is a very popular dance among a broad spectrum of music and dance aficionados - Big Band, Swing, Nightclub, Blues, Ballroom, Country Western. Most teachers recommend learning the East Coast Swing first; then learning West Coast Swing can become a fun and liberating experience.
